KEF LSX II wireless Hi-Fi system

In the words of the manufacturer KEF, the LSX II is ‘a high-quality high-fidelity sound system that meets all the needs of home entertainment’.

Much more than a simple upgrade from the award-winning original, KEF’s new LSX II combines industry-leading sound with the all-inclusive W2 Wireless platform in the groundbreaking LS50 Wireless II. Connectivity has been enhanced with the addition of HDMI and USB-C, making this an ideal match for both TVs, laptops and computer setups. The technological improvements of the LSX II are incorporated in a minimalist and modern design, designed by the famous designer Michael Young. Available in five stylish finishes, the LSX II combines effortless form and function to generate clean, natural and precise sound.

High fidelity sound and performance

The LSX II, which consists of a two-speaker box, gives music room to breathe and evolve, creating a three-dimensional sound. Each speaker uses KEF’s 11th generation Uni-Q driver array, designed specifically for this speaker. The signature technology acts as a point source, where the tweeter is located exactly in the acoustic center of the bass unit and reproduces the sound naturally. This design eliminates the traditional little sweet spot and instead delivers precise and clean sound to all sound enthusiasts, “we read in the announcement about beginners.

200 watts

LSX II has a combined system power of 200 watts. The tweeter and subwoofer are powered by their own amplifier to deliver room-filling sound from the compact cabinets. KEF: ‘The Music Integrity Engine delivers even better performance than the award-winning original. The improved Music Integrity Engine is optimized for the Uni-Q driver and enables the LSX II to deliver perfectly timed performance for better clarity and tighter sound. “

Play all music in the world

The KEF Connect app allows you to stream Amazon Music, Qobuz, Tidal, Deezer, Internet radio and podcasts. The native apps Spotify Connect, Tidal and QPlay can also be used directly for streaming. With Apple’s Airplay 2, Chromecast or Roon, it’s possible to stream to multiple wireless speakers and to sync music across the room. Audio enthusiasts will be amazed at the sound quality with the introduction of extended file support up to 24bit / 384kHz (PCM), DSD and full MQA playback. And if you want it, there is also the established Bluetooth.

Next generation plug & play

In addition to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, the LSX II has extensive connectivity options. These include HDMI ARC for hassle-free control with a remote control for the TV and a USB-C input, making the LSX II the perfect desktop audio system for your computer. There are also connections for turntable, CD player, game console and for extra bass there is a special output for the KEF subwoofer.

Improved user experience

The KEF Connect app guides audio enthusiasts through setup, control of the system and playback navigation with intuitive audio settings, ensuring that the LSX II matches the space as accurately as possible. With Room EQ DSP, the LSX II can be easily adjusted to any room. The ‘Normal’ mode is designed to guide you through the process of simple questions. To facilitate the integration of a KEF subwoofer with the LSX II, Room EQ includes subwoofer presets for the best possible system performance. The LSX II comes with a host of other easy-to-use features, including volume settings, sensitivity adjustment and the ability to select a source to wake the system when the source is turned on.

Michael Young

The aesthetic design of the LSX II is by Michael Young, one of the most acclaimed designers in the field of industrial design. Famous for its refined minimalist approach, Young’s design has a smart and clean aesthetic that perfectly matches the LSX II’s demands to deliver pristine and precise sound.

The LSX II is available in five striking finishes: The Mineral White and Lava Red models have a matte satin and high-gloss finish. Carbon Black and Cobalt Blue are upholstered with a specially designed fabric by the Danish modern textile designer Kvadrat. Soundwave by Terence Conran Edition was one of the iconic British designers’ latest collaborations. On this version, the ‘soundwave’ pattern is woven into the unique Square fabric, complemented by Conran’s signature blue on the speaker port and the driver for a true statement.

Every aspect of the LSX II has been carefully thought out, from an elegant control panel on the back to subtle design details such as the color-matched finish on the Uni-Q driver and ports. The LSX II makes a statement in any room, according to KEF, whether it is centered on the eye-catching S1 floor stand or flexibly placed with the P1 table base or B1 wall bracket.
