Compost clothes: the green future of our fashion
Where: Castellum Hoge Woerd
When: until 16 October
The exhibition ‘Compost clothes’ can be seen in Castellum Hoge Woerd from this week. Utrecht, of course, shows together with eight artists, entrepreneurs and scientists how we can handle our clothes differently. Today, we leave discarded textiles all over the world. How different was it in Roman times? Almost no textiles have been found from that time, because everything was biodegradable. At Castellum Hoge Woerd, you are therefore looking for a new story: fashion as food for your kitchen garden and the kitchen garden as food for your fashion. Experience, for example, how fruit fibers, stinging nettles, cow dung and avocado seeds from the garden and from the rubbish bin are processed into textiles or see leather accessories made from mycelium.
He believes in me
Where: Utrecht City Theater
When: Tuesday 21 June to Sunday 26 June
Price: 49.50 to 59.50 euros
Last year it was seventy years since André Hazes was born. In honor of this, the André Hazes musical ‘He Believes in Me’ is now back in cinemas. In Amsterdam it was already a great success, and now the show is also in Utrecht. He Believes in Me tells the story of the Dutch folk hero, in which Martijn Fischer plays a leading role as André Hazes himself. Tonight, 22 hits will be played, illustrating Hazes’ successes and personal decline.
