As a designer, would you like to help RVO and our customer move forward? The Customer Insight team is looking for a Service designer with UX/UI skills.
Tens of thousands of customers implementing hundreds of national and international schemes and grants, multiple websites and portals. RVO’s field of activity is broad, usually complex and with many challenges. From applying for innovation grants to reporting fertilizer quotas. No two working days are the same; you are always looking for creative solutions.
We make no concessions to our fundamental principle that we want to give our customers the best possible service. It must be easy to do business with us, and as a Service Designer you make a significant contribution to this.
You fulfill the role of a specialist when it comes to designing valuable user experiences. You are the material point of contact for improvement processes in terms of design. In consultation with other departments, you optimize forms of realization of various digital channels.
As a service designer in our team, you work with the customer-friendliness of the services. You are involved in the entire project from service plan to screen design and prototypes. Based on the results of customer surveys and customer signals, you advise on the quality and user-friendliness of the service.
Colleagues often ask for your advice, you also perform your role independently by proactively thinking together with processes where existing services are improved or where a new scheme is created. A good position if you think it’s important to put the customer first!
It is an advantage if you have experience of conducting customer surveys and if you are familiar with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
Within the Customer Insight team, you work in an interdisciplinary service improvement team, where the experts in customer data analysis, customer research and service design work together on various projects. At the level of expertise, you work together with the other designers on the development of our products and services within service design. We use an agile working method.
In addition, you also work together in organization-wide project teams on e.g. the website, application forms and communication about grant schemes.
You make contacts easily, and you can handle a high workload and sensitive subjects. You are customer-oriented and have a practical attitude.

- You have a relevant completed HBO education and relevant work experience.
- You have knowledge of and experience with:
– Service design
– UX/UI design
– Agile/scrum method
– Design systems
– Figma, Adobe Xd, Sketch or similar design program
- You help to prioritize functionalities in coordination with the team.
- You can set up intuitive and interactive flows and a clear information architecture.
- You are good at transferring designs to information analysts and front-end builders.
- You translate advice from customer surveys into concrete improvement proposals that match the platform’s technical capabilities.

Salary level: scale 10
Monthly pay: Mine. €2,957 – Max. €4,707 (gross)
Employment: Limited time contract

In addition to the salary, you get an Individual Selection Budget (IKB). IKB consists of money (16.37% of your gross annual salary) and time. At RVO, we want to work independently of location as much as possible. This means that you can basically do your work from any place (from home, another place and/or in the office). RVO expects you to be willing to come to the office when necessary for the performance of your work. In this position, we expect you to be present on average 1 to 2 days a week in the RVO department in The Hague or Assen.
