Polkadot rises, XRP continues to fall, polygon attracts NFT via Reddit

There is still very little action in the crypto market and traders are wondering how long this period of low volatility will last. The total market cap for all cryptocurrencies hovers around $968 billion, but we have a handful of outliers in between.

Bitcoin price is stuck

Bitcoin (BTC) is moving in an increasingly tight range: between $19,250 and $19,400. At the time of writing, the BTC price is at $19,330, roughly the same price as 24 hours ago. Analysts seem very divided on whether a breakout follows up or down.

Nevertheless, there are positive signs to be found in the long term. Long-term owners now have more than 75% of the total supply. We therefore see that the supply on exchanges is continuously falling and is even at the lowest level for four years.

ETH, DOT, MATIC up but XRP continues to fall

Ethereum (ETH) continues to rise cautiously, even as the price struggles to actually break $1,350. ETH currently stands at $1,347 and is up 0.9% today.

On the other hand, ripple (XRP) made another small dip last night. The XRP price is currently falling below $0.45, taking the price down 1.9% today.

Polkadot (DOT) does the opposite and is remarkably the strongest riser among the major cryptos today. DOT is currently pushing resistance around $5.95 after a 2.2% gain.

Still, polygon (MATIC) is getting the most attention right now with a new partnership with Reddit for non-fungible tokens (NFT):

The attention even seems to be breathing new life into the NFT market. The volume of NFT trading on OpenSea via Polygon is skyrocketing. However, the MATIC price is only up 1% and currently stands at $0.89.

Crypto top 100 hardest fallers and risers

In the top 100, we find a handful of prices that continue their recent rise. Chiliz (CHZ) is up almost 8% today and it may have to do with the upcoming FIFA World Cup:

Tokenize xchange (TKK) is already close to 10% up today. Evmos (EVMOS) is up 12% in the last 24 hours and klaytn (KLAY) is even up 12.2%.

However, newcomer aptos (APT) is down 4% today, and aave (AAVE) is the biggest loser, down 4.4%. Still, there seems to be a lot of potential for AAVE to come.
