About health insurance for non-smokers

Sundhedsfonde for Røgfri (GvRV) is a collaboration between Hartstichting, KWF and Longfonds with the aim that no one should die or die from the consequences of smoking. With an enthusiastic team of nine employees in the office and around 20 employees from the three foundations, we are working towards a smoke-free Netherlands. Smoke-free is also free of alternative forms of nicotine use, such as e-cigarettes.

We work together with civil society organisations, companies and governments. Smoking is still the biggest preventable cause of disease and death in the Netherlands, and every week the tobacco industry still manages to make hundreds of children in our country addicted to smoking. In order to bring a smoke-free generation closer, social initiatives and strong government measures are needed. Therefore, we call on the whole of the Netherlands to contribute to a smoke-free generation through lobbying, communication and relationship management. For organisations, it is, for example, about making premises smoke-free, but also about stopping doing business with the tobacco industry.

What do you want to do:

  • You will work in the Organizations and Environments team with the development and implementation of projects with which we increase the number and quality of smoke-free environments and organizations in the Netherlands.
  • You inspire major national parties and leading companies to take steps towards Smoke Free, and you maintain collaborative relationships with these parties to stimulate progress.
  • You proactively approach parties to investigate options for making new environments smoke-free and make suggestions on how any bottlenecks can be resolved.
  • You immerse yourself in the possibilities and opportunities to put smoke-free on the agenda at organizations in the arts, culture and media sector.
  • You advise, inform and proactively support stakeholders in the Smoke Free Generation. You talk to parties who have questions about making organizations and environments smoke-free.
  • You build and maintain a relevant network of internal and external contacts and use this network actively for the benefit of our goals.

As a relationship and project manager, you have:

  • Persuasiveness
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational ability
  • Environmental awareness, experience with marketing and B2B is an advantage
  • A decisive and solution-oriented work attitude
  • An eye for coherence, so you can easily see the bigger picture.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience.
  • HBO or WO working and thinking level

We offer:

  • An annual contract of 24 hours per week with the intention of extension.
  • We follow the terms of employment for the Hartstichting. Salary range: scale H, depending on education and experience between €3446 and €4937 (2022) based on 40 hours.
  • With a full-time working week, you get 22 vitality hours and 30 vacation days.
  • The location is the office of Health Funds for Smoke Free (near Utrecht Lunetten station). Partial work from home is possible.
