Altair introduces Simulation 2022.2. This update to the simulation tools portfolio provides greater cloud flexibility and scalability and more features for developing new products and electronic systems.
Altair Simulation 2022.2 improves working with Altair One. This is possible by giving customers flexible access to work with applications such as Altair HyperMesh, Altair HyperView, Altair SimLab and Altair Inspire on a workstation or laptop. Altair One is a complete marketplace that gives software users access to the applications, data, teams and computing resources they need on any device, at any time.
Users can also run applications for structural, thermal and CFD analysis and high/low frequency electromagnetic problems in Altair’s flexibly scalable cloud infrastructure. This makes it easier for organizations with limited IT and high-performance computing (HPC) capabilities to respond to customer requirements and budgets.
Simulations and visualizations
Enterprises can easily create self-service preconfigured HPC appliances from their preferred cloud provider. This enables them to use the best hardware for simulations and to process fluid dynamics visualizations or bulk and granular material simulations on GPU nodes. Access to the full offering through Altair’s unit licensing system allows you to leverage the power of proprietary HPC capabilities, in the cloud and in hybrid environments.
Develop efficient electronic systems
The new software releases enable teams responsible for product development to collaborate on all aspects of electronic systems, printed circuit boards (PCBs), firmware and 5G connectivity development in a connected end-to-end environment. The most important advantage is that they can significantly shorten the ‘time-to-market’.
Simulation 2022.2 provides tighter integration between Altair Flux, Altair FluxMotor, Altair SimLab, and Altair Material Data Center to help users streamline workflows and deliver more advanced modeling capabilities, analyze and optimize electrical system design, and accelerate acoustic and thermal flow analysis. In addition, Altair EEVision also provides updates for error correction and post-production electronic system design service.
With all the improvements in Simulation 2022.2, companies can create complete workflows from concept to production in one unified environment. In this way, they reduce development costs, organizational friction, material waste and time-to-market.
Make informed decisions
Altair’s integrated solutions enable users to make informed decisions at all stages of the product life cycle in an informed manner. The improved integrations in Simulation 2022.2 also help streamline project management.
Simulation 2022.2 also offers many improvements for all users of Altair HyperWorks, HyperMesh, Altair Pulse, and Altair HyperWorks CFD. These enable more complete modeling analysis through low- and no-code design and engineering tools. But also shorter pre- and post-processing throughput times, improved surface modeling, an integrated solver and dashboard, comprehensive coupling for fluid topology optimizations with Altair AcuSolve and Altair EDEM. These features make it easier to get the design right the first time.
Finally, Altair HyperWorks has been enhanced with AI to enhance the modeling experience. Among other things, with automated identification, characterization and grouping of parts, recognition and control of geometric functions for use in subsequent processes and even more recommendations for the software users.
