Who are we?

At the Nationaal Ouderenfonds, we dedicate ourselves every day to all elderly people in the Netherlands. Our spearheads are: active ageing, inspiration for an age-friendly environment and combating loneliness. We do this with sports and exercise programs such as OldStars and De Derde Helft, but also with initiatives such as the knitting club, Købmanden PlusBussen and a program on digital skills for the elderly: Welkom Online. The Elderly Foundation also offers a lot of individual attention, for example in the form of excursions, concerts and Christmas gifts. In this way, everyone gets the chance to age in an active way. Because we grow old together!

The National Elderly Fund celebrates its 70th birthday in 2023. Our activities to prevent loneliness among the elderly are needed every day. We do this with approximately 30 enthusiastic colleagues and almost 6,000 volunteers.

What do you want to do?

As a Business Fundraiser/Relation Manager, you know how to get in touch with the right people at companies and institutions. You form partnerships by hooking people up and keeping them hooked up. You write creative plans and proposals to get the companies excited about the Äldrefonden’s goals. You are the link inside and outside the organization and ensure expectation management for all parties involved. You draw up agreements and you supervise and monitor the further design and handling internally.

You create appealing proposals for companies and know how to close deals with a signed agreement.

Your tasks in brief:

  • You are an ambassador for Äldrefonden and are perceived as such in the market.
  • You are proactive in entering into new partnerships with business associates and other interested parties.
  • You are a relationship builder and proactively contribute to the reputation of the Elderly Foundation
  • You write proposals that are in line with the business relationship’s wishes/thoughts and the Äldrefonden’s purpose and concretize this in an appropriate approach to each relationship
  • You follow the progress of the projects in relation to the expectations of the relationships and make adjustments when necessary

Who we are looking for

A professional who is driven to establish and maintain new business relationships. You are good at making new contacts, but also at maintaining relationships. You think in terms of possibilities and act proactively. You like to get out and visit companies. You have many creative ideas and at the same time work with a clear goal in mind.

You also recognize yourself in the following:

  • A completed education at minimum HBO level;
  • At least 3 years of work experience in a commercial position, preferably as a fundraiser;
  • You are proactive and self-starter
  • Creative, knows how to excite others and is goal-oriented

  • Salary (scale 8 to 10 of the CAO Welfare & Social Services €2,836 and a maximum of €4,927 gross per month for full-time employment, depending on experience and training)
